For lessons in Manchester, please contact Manchester Community Music School. Davidson Violins Studios offers lessons in violin, viola, cello and bass. Students of all ages are invited into a rigorous, gracious atmosphere of collaborative music making that includes recitals and master classes in addition to one-to-one instruction. Our instructors are professional musicians with college degrees in their specialty area. Our instructors manage their own schedules and represent in every lesson our core belief that each student can make music; some will be highly proficient, but all will learn the fundamentals and most importantly, gain a true appreciation for the art of playing a bowed instrument. |
Lessons are offered throughout the week including Saturdays. We accept students as young as 3 years old, subject to teacher approval, and as old as 99. Rates are as follows:
- Beginner and intermediate players: $35 for 30 minute lessons each week
- Intermediate and advanced players: $50 for 45 minute weekly lessons or $65 for 60 minute weekly lessons
We do not recommend cheap internet purchased instruments for lessons. Students need adequate learning tools. Good quality rentals are available at our studios - please click here for our rental program.
Please note: bowed instruments require substantial time and home practice to master. Beginning players will need at least 3 months of weekly lessons and daily home practice to establish basic skills. Young students should have a parent or guardian present in the lesson (at the teacher's discretion) to see what will need reinforcement at home.
A one-time non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 is due at the time of registration for lessons. The invoice with the registration fee is emailed to the applicant and must be paid in order to secure a lesson time. If no payment is received, the lesson time is forfeited.
