Meet the Staff
Frank Albert - Owner
Frank provides repair and restoration work for our New Hampshire location. He trained in luthier skills with Tim Donley, Paul Weissmeyer and Francis Morris. He specializes in sound adjustment, assisting students and professionals with real-time adjustments to receive feedback from the player. Frank has extensive knowledge about old instruments and provides appraisal services at our New Hampshire location, and by advance appointment in North Carolina. Frank is an active performer, composer and regular workshop presenter in public schools.
Jason Bamford - Repair Manager
Jason Bamford studied Music Education with a violin concentration at Grove City College, in Grove City PA. After graduating, he took a position with J.R. Judd Violins in Williamsport PA, where he learned the fundamental skills of setup and repair in their large workshop. Since that time he studied bow rehair and repair with renowned bow expert Rodney Mohr, restoration with Tim Donley and is currently making his own violins in an apprenticeship with Joseph Thrift, a local North Carolina violin maker.
Ben Williams - Lower Strings Specialist
The "bass doctor" of the Charlotte region, Ben has assisted many professional bassists from his vantage point as an expert player and restorer of bass. Ben's career includes organ making and serving as a luthier at the renowned west coast bass shop owned by Steve Swan. Ben is an active Charlotte musician and cello restorer.

Rebecca Ray - Studio Director
Rebecca developed a love for music when she was introduced to the violin at age nine. She was raised on the Suzuki method and continues to promote this method in her teaching. Rebecca received her Bachelor's of Music in Violin Performance from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte where she studied with Anne R. Belk distinguished professor David Russell. She teaches students of all ages on violin and viola both privately and in group class settings. In addition to teaching, she is an active performer with various ensembles such as 7 String Theory and CPCC Opera Theater.

Sarah Bamford - Operations Manager
Sarah has played the violin since she was 5 years old with the Suzuki Program. She has always loved working around string instruments. After teaching music in public schools she has turned her expertise to private lessons and leading our sales staff in assisting our customers with discovering their full potential. Sarah is an active violin player in the greater Charlotte region and manages our Davidson location.
